From starting a six year old playing a five finger pattern on the piano, to helping my colleagues open up their high notes, or fall in love with new repertoire, I love all aspects of teaching music! Children
Music lessons for children are so important! It helps develop the brain in different ways and enhances focus and connections as well as building confidence, discipline, and patience.I teach in Northwest Indiana, and also do housecalls. ***Discounted rate for multiple child households, as well as homeschool children.
Lessons can begin as early as age 6 for piano and voice.
Lessons are from 30 min to 1 hour, depending on attention level and age of child.
I suggest starting with 30 min lessons- (online, or in person with me in Chicago or Crown Point): $30
House calls price upon request (travel, and number of students taken into account)
Beginner
For all adults ages 11 (young adult)- all the way to 100, embarking on their musical journey. Can be the start of beginning lessons, already singing at school or work, preparing auditions of any kind, or even taking voice lessons for other purposes like public speaking, vocal rehabilitation, confidence building, or just to be amazing at the next karaoke night!
Lessons are 1 hour (online, in person in Crown Point, or Chicago):$90
Advanced
This category is reserved for the young artist, or beginning professional, as well as colleagues who would like a different perspective on what they are doing. My approach here is coaching, and suggesting ideas in terms of most authentic sounds, overcoming vocal limitations from old habits and past teachers, regaining vocal prowess after a long break, as well as regaining confidence. Personal repertoire consultation, and working together to craft authentic interpretations of the music.
